60 MW farm on Energy5 structures in Kalisz Pomorski

The West Pomeranian Voivodeship can boast an impressive photovoltaic power plant. One of the largest farms in Poland, with a capacity of 60 MW, was built on photovoltaic structures produced by Energy5 and is located in Kalisz Pomorski.

Thanks to the investment of QAIR POLSKA S.A. and the contractor P&Q Sp. z o.o., an impressive solar farm was created and it covered 82 hectares of land. We delivered photovoltaic structures to the construction site for the assembly of 112,000 PV modules, for the production of which we used approximately 2,000 tons of steel.

Our structures are adapted to bifacial PV modules so that the panels can use their potential to generate electricity to the maximum. The systems used on the farm for vertically oriented modules with an inclination angle of 30° have characteristically located purlins. The appropriately designed structure means that after mounting the module, the steel purlin perfectly aligns with its half-cut line. Thanks to this, the reflected and scattered light reaches 100% of the active – bottom part of the module. The original design allows the panels to achieve excellent efficiency indicators.

Quality first

To ensure optimum corrosion protection, Energy5 ground structures are made of black steel, coated with a Magnelis® metallic coating. This technology guarantees the highest level of surface and cut edge protection, even in extremely adverse conditions (corrosion class C5). Energy5 PV systems meet the most stringent legal requirements and are certified with the National Technical Assessment by the Building Research Institute.
